Bacteriostatic water is sterile water for injection containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol (v/v) as a bacteriostatic preservative. The benzyl alcohol inhibits microbial growth, allowing for multiple entries into the vial while maintaining sterility over the labeled use period. This product is a standard diluent used in research laboratories for the reconstitution of lyophilized peptides and other compounds requiring an aqueous vehicle. This 3mL preparation is suitable for reconstituting small-quantity peptide vials. Intended strictly for research and laboratory use. Not for human consumption.
